NEWS: a late start to 2012!

I've just returned to Exmouth after a fabulous two month visit with friends and family back in the USA.

My sister had a gorgeous baby boy, Beau, in December, and I was so happy to get to meet him right away and spend some time (not enough!) with them.

Now I'm back here, enjoying the summer (when I left the US it was -25c!!) and getting everything ready for a wonderful 2012 of photography.

I am again taking bookings for weddings and family, maternity, newborn & baby sessions. Please email me to check on availability for your date and to receive all of my new 2012 package offerings.

SPECIAL: Christmas is coming!

I know it's only October but the holiday season is approaching fast and deadlines for getting our Christmas cards out to loved ones will be here sooner than we think!

I have sessions available most days from Wednesday 19 October through Sunday 7 November, 2011, so we should be able to find a time that works with your schedule. As always, an hour or so prior to sunset (and after sunrise, if you're an early riser!) is the prime time for outdoor & beach sessions so please keep this in mind when you are planning.

I've added a new product for this jolly season: personalized holiday photo cards. These can be customized to not only include your favourite photo from your session but you can create your own greeting, too!

2011 Holiday Photo Card prices:
Single cards start from $7/each
Sets of 5 cards start from $30/set ($6.00/card)
Sets of 10 cards start from $50/set ($5.00/card)
Sets of 20 cards start from $80/set ($4.00/card)
Sets of 50 cards start from $175/set ($3.50/card)
Sets of 100 cards start from $250/set ($2.50/card)
All cards include an envelope.
Sets consist of one image & one greeting.
No minimum quantity on single cards.
Each single card can have its own image and greeting.

Ring me on 0438 433 356 or drop me an email to reserve your session time and to get the full scoop on all of the packages on offer.

Already booked your session or have you already had your photos taken? Drop me a line because I have some great specials for you, too!

Hurry as spaces are limited!

Baby Aiden 23 days old - Exmouth newborn photography

Aiden is just the cutest and most active three week old bub I've ever seen. He insisted on staying awake for our entire session and didn't get grumpy at all (OK, he did once, but only for a tiny minute!) He seemed so interested in everything going on around him, his expressions were just adorable and so much fun to capture!

His mom & dad are pretty fantastic, too!

It was super windy on the day our session was scheduled and Renee & Paul really wanted some outdoor shots so we considered rescheduling. Instead we split their newborn portrait session into two parts - indoor and outdoor the following morning. Of course, it's Exmouth, so it was really windy the next morning, too, but we persevered and found a little patch that was at least partially protected from the southerly for Aiden's first beach trip.

He slept through the whole event.

Can't forget the canine members of the family! They are both so good around Aiden, totally excellent siblings.

Once again, I've fallen in love with the whole beautiful family!

Baby Faith - Newborn Portraits 21 days old

Amy was the second winner of my Newborn Photo Session. competition I love this family - last year we did a multi-generational portrait session for them and had a great time. I met Faith at the same oval for my first outdoor newborn photo shoot. They had only returned from Perth the day before and Faith was a trooper! I know it's been a while since I teased you with some tootsies so I won't keep you waiting any longer!

It's my binkie!

Ahhh, binkie is better!

Faith's dad gave her this awesome giraffe

More cute baby coming soon!

Baby Benjamin - Baby Portraits 50 days old

Benjamin was such a little rebel during our shoot! You might remember his Sneak Peek where he looked so innocent - it was all a ruse. We'd start to take some napping photos and he'd wake up.  We'd start to take some happy awake shots, he'd fall asleep. He'd be hungry so we'd do some mom and bub shots, he decided he was done with his snack. He'd want his pacifier in, then pftooey out he'd spit it - and he can get some good distance on that thing! Repeat the routine. Good thing I always plan for baby sessions to run long and am prepared for anything that comes up!

Benjamin spent a lot of our time together planted face down. I can't imagine it was comfortable, but he seemed very happy that way!

I love baby feet

And when they're sleeping, it's just so awwwwww.

Sharon collects teddy bears and Benjamin was lovin' on one that was just the right size

I had a lovely time with him Mum Sharon and Little B was such a character!

Baby Jacob - Newborn Session 21 days old

Noni was my first winner from my recent Newborn Photo Session contest and we set up the shoot for cutie Jacob just after they returned from Perth.  He was wide awake for pretty much the whole time but you could see he really did want to snooze - but he didn't want to miss out on anything, either!  I've never seen such a young bub be so interesting in his environment - it was wonderful...except that he was very grumpy whenever we'd try to move him or remove his pacifier!  Didn't matter, he was just so cute we still got a ton of shots that make us smile.

The Thinker

World's Quickest Nap Part I

Cheeky boy

World's Quickest Nap Part II

A little grump without his binkie - some mom loving helped, but ultimately, it was the binkie FTW

So very cute!

We'll be doing a Family Portrait Session in the next little while and I can't wait. Noni's sure that Jacob will sleep through the whole thing since that's what he was meant to do for this one.

Since you are all so beautiful and I'm gaga for photographing bubs, I am going to offer everyone who didn't win one of the free sessions a super special deal. FREE - Newborn Photo Sessions

That's right, I said FREE!  I'm giving away two Newborn Sessions and it couldn't be easier to make one yours (or give it as a gift to a friend)!

Each Newborn Session will include:
- the photo session
- ONE professional collage print in your choice of size: 10x20, 16x20 or 20x20
- TEN professional 4x6 prints
of the best images in a cute Brag Book
- TEN of the best images on disk ready for you to print and share on the web
Total value over $500!

How do I win one of these?
Easy. Simply send me an email telling me your approximate due date and a little bit about you and your family (or about your friend, if you'd like to win this as a gift). Nothing too long, just introduce yourself. Don't forget to include your email address and phone number!

Are there any conditions?
Only three, really:
1 - you must take the session in 2009.
2 - bub must be 30 days or younger. I prefer to do newborn sessions with babies under two weeks old, but realise that because Exmouth is so remote, Mums have to go out of town to have the baby and sometimes you aren't back in two weeks.
3 - you must be in Exmouth as that's where the session will be!

The first month with a new baby is hectic so newborn photos are the perfect way to capture those first moments that you can look back on for a lifetime.

Ryan, Kellie & Kirra - Family Portraits

I love this family - and not just because they are my own family!  They are not only totally gorgeous, but also the nicest and most fun-loving people you could hope for.  They came up to Exmouth for a bit of a holiday last week and arranged to take some time to do some family portraits as "all we have are shots from our cell phones!"  The weather didn't cooperate fully with us as it was very windy and the skies were mostly a flat, dull - if bright - grey during our sessions but we took advantage of momentary glimpses of blue sky whenever we could and definitely got some that are going to look awesome blown up and hung on the wall!

Kirra was far more interested in finding treasure in the sand than in having her photo taken

Ry & Kel considered their options

and tried a little interaction

before resorting to full on goofiness behind me while I tried to stop laughing long enough to take some photos of Kirra playing on the jetty

She's such a cutie!

All the excitement of the holiday and the beach were too much so it was time for a bit of a nap in the safety & calm of mom's arms
