Exmouth beach wedding rehearsal - after the cyclone

Emma & Scott seem to have planned their wedding day for perfect weather! Cyclone Bianca has been and gone and Saturday is forecast to have a lovely temperature and just the right amount of breeze.

We headed out this afternoon to check things out and found that Bianca has taken quite a chunk of beach away but there's still a perfect dune for their vows and Emma can't stop smiling (see her there in Scott's glasses?!

BTW, sunglasses have been voted off the island for tomorrow's ceremony :)

NEWS: Cyclone Bianca - Exmouth on RED ALERT!

Exmouth has just gone on to RED ALERT in preparation for Cyclone Bianca, a category 3.

The police are cruising the town with their sirens on and announcing our new status. Red Alert means everyone needs to take shelter immediately and stay sheltered until the alert passes.

Outside, the wind is picking up a bit but things are relatively calm so far. We are expecting the winds to increase as the afternoon rolls into evening and the rains should start hitting soon, too.

You can check out updates at the BOM site.

Hopefully this will be a simple storm with little damage or scariness!

Lobo

Lobo was feeling jealous as I was taking photos of the other furkids today so put on a pose (and little attitude).

Exmouth Family Portrait Session - sneak peek

I can't think of a better way to end 2010 than with one of my favourite families down at the beach!

A long, long time ago (OK, September 2009, but it seems like a long time ago!) I introduced you to Benjamin - then already an adorable rebel!

I'm here to tell you that he's staying true to his rebel status!

His super-great big brother Dylan did a fantastic job posing and helping with his little brother.

Happy New Year!

Welcome to 2011! I'm hoping for a fantastic year and I'm starting by being thankful for the small things - like having an internet connection that works consistently after a couple of weeks of frustrating service! I'm told things will be back to normal tomorrow. Here's hoping.

I said at the start of 2010 that I was hoping for a special year. Just goes to prove the old saying "be careful what you wish for". It was indeed special, just not in the ways I was hoping for! Which means that last year's goals are rolling over into 2011 :)

I spent the day working today, but took time out to do one of my favourite things - hang out on the beach with my two Rhodesian Ridgebacks, Dora & MatildaLily. This is us:

Pretty much a perfect way to start the new year!

Kristin Anderson Photography is set to be busier and provide even more great things for my clients and I can't wait to share it all with you!

I hope your 2011 brings you great joy, happiness, peace and pleasure. Love, Kristin
