Unfortunately, my switch over to the new machine is not going as smoothly as I had hoped and I cannot yet access my emails. I have high hopes for tomorrow, though!
If you need an answer before the end of the weekend, can you please resend your email to me at my alternative email address which IS working: Email Kristin Here.
You can also contact me via text or voice on 0438 433 356.
Keep those fingers crossed for a quick remedy!
Just a quick note to let you all know that my trusty laptop died a quick and painless (for it) death yesterday. It was all working fine and then BAM nothing. No warning at all, it just wouldn't start.
I don't edit or store photos from my weddings or portrait sessions on my laptop, so there's no fear on a delay in processing or a loss of images. All of that type of work is done on my desktop and immediately backed up to at least one external drive.
However, my laptop is my connection to everything outside my office. All of my emails are dealt with on it and so I finally come to the point - if you have emailed in the past couple of days, please be patient while I get an alternative email system up and running as I can no longer access your messages.
On the bright side, it looks like my Computer Guy was able to save most of the information on the laptop's hard drive which means that I should be able to get to your recently sent emails in the next 48 hours or so.
If you do not get a response from me by Friday afternoon, PLEASE either resend your email or give me a ring on 0438 433 356. You can, of course, ring me earlier than that if you wish!
Thank you for your patience and cross your fingers for me.
Oh, and if anyone has suggestions for a new, lightweight laptop, it looks like I'm in the market!
May has been a busy month so for me so far and I'm loving it! The downside of having so much going on is that I've once again let the blog suffer and I haven't been out shooting for fun nearly as much as I would like to be.
I hope to have a few more Exmouth beach wedding posts up soon along with some Ningaloo Reef diving and who knows what else.
Oh, yeah, I remember what else - I'm going to have a couple of announcements and specials coming up, too!
In the meantime, my big boy kitteh Lobo and I are hanging out in the office working hard...

Yesterday's wedding was treated to gorgeous heavy storm skies and a tumultous ocean when we went around to Lighthouse Bay for photos.

Mel & Nick had their wedding around at Turquoise Bay on the Ningaloo Reef Friday after getting ready at the Novotel Ningaloo. Their two gorgeous boys stood still for a frame or two and I couldn't resist sharing this shot of the brothers

I have had four awesome dives over the past two days so check back for lots more underwater images (and, yes, I'll get some from my April dives up, too, LOL)!
We are overly spoiled here on the Ningaloo Reef and I rarely spend much time with turtles as they are so common & abundant on our dive sites. But yesterday this guy was Mr Personality so I spent ages watching him and eventually he started buzzing me!

Kylie & Julian's wedding was awesomeness!
After the wedding we headed to Bundegi & the Lighthouse with the wedding party...stay tuned for some amazing sunset photos! In the meantime, here's the sweetest couple at the end of Bundegi Jetty with Exmouth Gulf behind.

This pair of huge dragonflies were bopping erratically all over our back patio this afternoon. I actually went back inside the house because I kept getting nailed in the noggin'. I didn't think I'd stand a chance capturing them so I stood in the doorway and just watched as they tore up the air space.
And then something changed and it felt like they just might take a little breather. So I ran to my office, grabbed the camera that was on my desk and charged back to the door to find them snugged down in a plant. They were so close to the door that I had to stay in the house.
They gave me a single frame.
I am happy.
