Gorgeous roughback stingray under a ledge at one of my favourite dive sites at the Muiron Islands. The two cleaner wrasse (under his nose)were working hard and he was gently rolling his wings up and down to allow them better access.

Exmouth Family Portraits - Sunrise Beach Novotel Ningaloo
Headed down to the beach in front of the Novotel Ningaloo for some fun family portraits. You might remember the little girl, Sophie, from way back in 2009 when I did some portraits just of her while all the boys were at school or work. This time I got to enjoy spending time with the whole family and it was a blast!
We tried to be serious (how cute is this family!)
but it was far more fun to be goofy
and pull faces & cool poses
and get thrown around
Once the kids got a little tired, we let them play in the sand & chase seagulls while the grownups went for a more romantic look (these two are sooo much in love and it shows every second!)
Sophie only gave us a minute but was so adorable when she joined her parents who could complain?!

Sunday Night Fish n Pics #2
One of my favourite fishies is our batfish. I see some on almost every dive and I usually take at least a few shots, even though I probably have the exact same shot already. This guy caught my attention because of his decapitated fin. Still think he's cute :)

Sunday Night Fish n Pics
Welcome to a new weekly feature - Sunday Night Fish n Pics. I'm trialling the name - right now, I kinda like it, but time will tell if it evolves to something else. What do you think of it? I'm open to suggestions!
Each week I'm going to pop up one or more of my underwater images for your viewing pleasure. I might include a little note about the creature in the picture or about the dive. Or maybe I'll just leave the picture on its own. Who knows what I'll do, it'll be a surprise for us all!
Enough chatter, let's get to the photo. This small white tip reef shark was fascinating to watch and I stayed with her for a good fifteen minutes. She was circling a small patch of reef, beating up the coral & rankin cods and generally staking out some territory by pushing all the other fish around. Several times she came in too close to me to even focus on her. It was a unique encounter that put a smile on my face for days!

Exmouth wedding - sneak peek
We had a great time at Danni & Mark's fabulous Exmouth beach wedding yesterday!
Danni told me that she wanted some fun photos of her and Mark during their wedding day and what's more fun than swings?!

Exmouth beach wedding rehearsal
I can't wait for Danni & Mark's wedding this Saturday! We headed out to the beach at Lighthouse Bay this afternoon for a bit of a rehearsal and they are just the happiest, sweetest and most in love couple - I think there were little tears in some eyes already.
I can tell there are going to be super fun moments and big smiles all day
Oh, and smooching. There's going to be lots of smooching.
