A fantastically gorgeous family and I headed to Town Beach in Exmouth for some family portraits on Tuesday.

I have the neatest brides!

Monday Lisa & Bill tied the knot at Oyster Stacks in the Cape Range National Park here in Exmouth and had a very welcome, but unexpected wedding guest! Lisa immediately got down to eye level without a thought to her dress or to delaying the start of the ceremony - lizards are just too cool to ignore!

Tossed & turned in 2011

Hello! I am here and have been here, though thanks to enormous web, email and computer problems it hasn't seemed like it for the past few months.

I've felt like these jellyfish - floating along happily thinking everything is fabulous only to get tumbled, swept out to sea and then tossed back up on the sand!

I have been struggling to overcome several severe server problems since March and I think I may finally be in the home stretch. I know I've missed emails and orders from some of you in this crazy time so I hope that I have now contacted you and we have things rolling.

Exmouth Novotel Ningaloo wedding - sneak peek

I knew that Aimee & Luke were going to have a great wedding when we met up a couple of days before, knowing that Tropical Cyclone Carlos was going to be hitting us on their wedding day and neither was ruffled at all!

We were even able to sneak in some Novotel Ningaloo pool time photographs before TC Carlos began pelting down the rain.

Crazy February!

This month has been nutso and once again my blogging agenda has gone out the window!

We've had terrible weather with several cyclones including TC Carlos that came right over the top of us.

It kept us on Red Alert for over 30 hours & took out power to over 250 homes. We were OK through the cyclone, if a bit bored. And when the serious winds on the back side of TC Carlos hit, my youngest Ridgeback MatildaLily decided that she didn't like cyclones anymore - she gave me the very worried puppy look "Mama, I don't like the noisy storm, please make it stop!" after she hustled into my office, snugged up against me and just shook.

Happily, there was very little damage, just a bit of mess to clean up!

I've been busy with shoots of all kinds and hope to get photos up to share with you all ASAP. This guy will keep an eye on me to make sure I get it done!

NEWS: Qantas starts flights to Exmouth - from $99!!

Finally there is going to be some competition and you are no longer restricted to Skywest for your flights!

Qantas has officially opened bookings for Perth to Learmonth (the Ningaloo Reef's airport, located about 45kms south of Exmouth and just over 100kms north of Coral Bay)!

They currently have an introductory price on ONE WAY travel for these dates:

There are flights three times a week Wed, Fri & Sun.

Red dust cloud over Exmouth

I went out for a relaxing snorkel yesterday afternoon and as I was heading back to shore I got to watch a thick band of red dust move in and form a huge pillar. It was pretty amazing to see!



While I'm glad I had my trusty compact Canon with me, it would have been super awesome to have my Big Girl Camera in my hands at the right time! Oh well, maybe next time :)
