The other night the sunset across from my house was magical.

Sunday found me in Coral Bay, Western Australia, for Kristine & Jessie's awesome beach wedding.

Jessie had to swoop Kristine over his shoulder so he could carry her back to the reception so her dress wouldn't get wet in the sprinklers at the Ningaloo Reef Resort after we did a few photos as the sun set!

Beware of the Dorable...

Sometimes having a big, "tough" dog is a little embarrassing.  Some people might see my Rhodesian Ridgebacks and think "Ooo, those are big dogs.  Scary!"

Somehow even though Dora's cuddly toy of choice is a tiger shark, it just doesn't scream "I'm a vicious guard dog" to me.

Tonight as I was bringing in the dog dishes to prepare dinner I found the reason there is a saying "Cute as a bug"

In the weeds

I've been doing my own 365 Project this year where I head out and take at least one frame to share each day. (You can find them over on my personal blog, Kristin's News, if you'd like to check them out.) So far I've found this a great exercise and it's great fun to explore the simplest of things.

Like the weeds in my backyard. I find them endlessly intriguing and was gutted when I went out the back the other day to find that the gardener had been and cut them all down! Here are some of my favourites so far

Happy 3.2 Anniversary to us!

Yay! Our Exmouth anniversary - (and the one on all the legal type papers!) - is today. Three years ago friends and family sweltered on the beach at the Dunes as we said our "I Dos" waiting for the sun to sink into the Indian Ocean. I'd planned all of our Mexico wedding in Cozumel and Dave planned everything for our Exmouth wedding except for the cake (which was so awesome that people still talk about it and we still crave it!)

Unfortunately, Dave is still in Perth so once again we won't be celebrating our anniversary together. A bit sad that we have two of them in a year and can't manage to be in the same place at the same time. Oh well, next year! I'm hoping that I get a card or flowers or some token, even if he's 1200kms away, but I'd settle for a phone call ;) This far away thing definitely is a drag.
