Qantas Emergency Landing in Exmouth

Tuesday I was contacted by the Sunday Times/Perth Now, part of the NewsLtd group, to shoot the unfolding scenes from the forced landing of a Qantas flight coming from Singapore.

The images were published in several newspapers around Australia, on PerthNow's website and on ABC news here in Australia. You can click the PerthNow link to see the whole story.


It was a very different experience to my usual photography and I hope to do more news in the future.

Fantastic Family

Friday I had the pleasure of working with a great family.  We had three generations and the family pooch, too!

A couple of Exmouth locals

I love living in Exmouth!  Driving home from a meeting I saw this beautiful emu strolling in the last afternoon sunshine over in the bushland across from our house.


And the next day I had a startling visitor next to my phone!

Nikki & Michael's wedding

Nikki & Michael's wedding at the Ningaloo Novotel Resort on Saturday was great fun.  The day was stunning with brilliant blue skies and a gentle breeze off the Gulf to keep the temperature just right for the festivities.  Nikki & Michael are a fun couple and they both looked smashing for their big day.

Nikki had plenty of pretty sparkle


The boys were giving Michael a bit of a stir before the ceremony

Kaye, Michael's mum, made the wedding cake and the couple shared another kiss before slicing into it


It was a joy to photograph this wedding and I wish them the happiest of futures!

True Blue portraits

I had the opportunity to do some portrait sessions at a remote station here on the Nor'West Cape and it was a big change from the white sand beaches!  The horses weren't very interested and mostly just stood snoozing


DJ is a great kid who really embraces the Outback way of life and attitude



but that doesn't mean that he doesn't appreciate the modern toys, too!

Kade & Zack

Yesterday was the first of my Winter Portrait Sessions and I had fun shooting Kade as he played with his cars and bounced on the trampoline. His younger brother, Zack, was happier to hang out with mom and dad but rewarded us with a huge grin a few times!






Who can resist such a quiet moment between father and son?

I really enjoyed my time with them and hope to do more with them in the near future!

Winter Portrait Special

I am back in Exmouth after a wonderful month in the United States! I wasn't able to post much while away as I did not have consistent net connection most of the trip, so I'm looking forward to getting back into the swing of things now that I am home.

It's summer in the northern hemisphere and I'm finding the cold winter mornings here to be a bit of a challenge! But the warm days are glorious with beautiful blue skies and deserted beaches.
