Helen & Aaron - lovely wedding!

Helen & Aaron got married on the grassy area at Town Beach here in Exmouth on 11th April.  The sun was bright, the Gulf was flat & blue and the red carpet looked amazing running under the palm trees.  None of that could hold a candle to how stunning Helen looked in her simply elegant gown, though!

They followed the lovely ceremony with a reception at Exmouth Yacht Club - a joyous, raucous affair that lasted well in to the night! I loved being able to photograph their wedding. They are wildly, passionately in love (we saw you sneaking an extra smooch whenever you could!) and their commitment shone through the entire event.

Conratulations to you both & I know you'll have many happy & fun years together!

Lest we forget

Today is ANZAC Day here in Australia and all over the country people collected at dawn ceremonies to honour members of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC).  Exmouth turned out in force with a packed ceremony site in front of the Shire Hall.

My favourite moment of the morning was this young father with his small child approaching an old soldier to shake his hand. The soldier poignantly removed his own poppy from his chest, near his row of medals, and pinned it to bub.

Lest we forget.

Liz & Paul - fantastic Coral Bay wedding!

I apologise for taking so long to get some photos from Liz & Paul's fantastic Coral Bay wedding up!  Their full gallery has been up for a couple of weeks, but I've had such a hard time choosing just a few for the blog and time as slipped away as I keep changing my mind.

They had a stunner of a day with bright sunshine, beautiful blue skies before the ceremony followed by red-golden light through the ceremony and a brilliant sunset afterwards. Live music played a big part with a violinist,

Ken Young on guitar,

Blue Shaddy

and Bones.

Whaler's Restaurant, which Liz & Paul own, rocked the reception with incredibly scrumptious food. One of their previous chefs and good friend handled all of the creations for the day, coming in especially for this event. Her food is even more amazing since she worked the reception out of an ex-sea container!

This is the most joyous & in love couple I have ever met and all of their friends and family - some from as far away as Louisiana! - were beaming with happiness for them all day and well into the night under the huge marquee that was set up.

Congratulations again to Liz & Paul. Here's to many, many happy years to come!

Novotel Ningaloo's new chef - Paul

The other week I did a promotional photo session with Paul, the new head chef at the Novotel Ningaloo. Paul is super nice and a fabulous chef with innovative concepts that really make the meals special.

He's brought out a new menu and everything on it looks delicious. I can't wait to get out there for dinner with my husband! The food is divine and view is spectacular.

Steve, Louise & TJ - family photos

A couple of days ago we were finally able to do the first of two sessions with TJ!  The family and I have been trying to find time for months now but with their busy schedule, the bub and/or mom feeling under the weather and one or both of us being out of town we kept having to put it off.  You'll remember this lovely couple, Steve & Louise, from the two awesome maternity sessions we did last year.

Steve & TJ playing a favourite game "Grab the Binky"

My favourite shot of the day - TJ was DELIGHTED (no pun intended!) when Steve walked behind me and the flash I had set up on a stand went POW, right in his eyes! Louise thought it was pretty darned funny, too.

I joked with Steve yesterday after he saw the photos that I was going to have to bring along an assistant with a big stick to give him a smack now and then during our second scheduled family session since TJ seems to give us the best smiles when his dad is in a little pain :)

Sunday evening we are heading back to the beach where we held their second maternity session as we all thought it would make a nice finishing touch for this first round of family photos. I'm really looking forward to it!
